Dynavision D2 Visual-Motor Training
The Dynavision D2 is a large light board with 64 targets that light up for you to find and press as quickly as you can. It measures and trains reaction time, peripheral awareness, and eye-hand coordination, all skills that can suffer after a concussion or other brain injury.
How it works
Programs can be adjusted for any level, from simple reaction tasks to challenging drills that add balance, memory, or mental math at the same time. This lets us test how well your brain processes what you see and turns it into action, then train those skills with measurable goals.
What it measures and trains
- Visual reaction time and motor speed
- Peripheral vision and visual scanning
- Eye-hand coordination
- Attention and multitasking under cognitive load
- Endurance for visual tasks
Who it can help
- Post-concussion syndrome and mild traumatic brain injury
- Athletes returning to sport
- Recovery after stroke or other neurological injury
- Anyone wanting to sharpen visual-motor performance
What the research shows
- Dynavision D2 reaction-time testing has been shown to be reliable on repeat testing (Wells et al., 2014).
- A visual-motor test on the D2 identified lingering deficits in college athletes who had recently been cleared after concussion.
- Normative data for healthy adults is available, so results can be compared with typical performance.
